William Carrillo scored both of Charleston’s goals in a 6-2 conference road loss to Mahomet Seymour on Thursday night.

Carrillo scored on both a penalty kick and on a free kick from 25 yards out.

Trojans goalkeeper Ben Tresslar, meanwhile, recorded eight saves.

“We fought hard tonight, but they just wore us down in the second half,” CHS soccer coach Josh Garrett said. “We were short some players tonight and it showed. I was proud of the effort, and we finally came out strong in the first half.”

Charleston falls to 4-4 overall, 1-1 in Apollo Conference play.

Charleston’s JV team also lost, 6-0.
