Faith Niebrugge made seven digs and Kendra Bialeschki had five kills, but Mattoon volleyball lost to Mahomet, 25-16, 25-18, on Saturday.
“We starting fighting too late in the second set to pull out the win,” Green Wave co-coach Lori Morton said.
Chloe Jobe recorded 10 digs and Lily Ghere had eight in the JV team’s straight set loss, 25-17, 25-23, while Ella Laster had 12 digs in the freshmen team’s loss, 21-12, 21-19.
