Rachel Kaufman and Dee Campbell combined to throw Lake Land’s second no-hitter in the first game of a doubleheader.

Kaufman threw four innings and Campbell closed the fifth in a run-rule shortened 13-0 victory over Bevill State Community College in Jasper, Ala.

Kaufman improved to 4-2.

Abrienne Lee threw a no-hitter against Andrews College two weeks ago.

Lake Land (10-3) banged out 25 hits and 27 runs overall in the two games, winning 14-4 afterward for the sweep.

In the opener, the Lakers scored multiple runs in every inning. Sidney Beier drilled a homer, Frankie Izard scored three runs and Emmy Graver, Tyanna Graber, Kaufman and Beier each had two hits.

In the second game, the Lakers scored eight runs in the second, highlighted by Lee‘s two-run homer. Lee went 2-3, scored two runs and drove in three. She also gave up one earned run and struck out two across four innings to improve to 5-0.

Bevill State never threatened, scoring one in the second and three in the fifth. Lake Land, meanwhile, scored six combined in the fourth and fifth to finish off the game.

The Lakers face Calhoun College in a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. Sunday.
