A depleted Charleston basketball squad battled back in the fourth quarter, but it was not enough in a 67-46 loss to Taylorville (11-12) in an Apollo Conference game.

Seven Trojans players missed the game for illness, including starters Caleb Hurst and Cade Landrus.

The Trojans made just 32 percent of its field goals and 17 percent of its 3-pointers.

Isaac Miller scored 14 while Sam Bickford and Luke Bell each added 12 for Charleston (9-13, 2-6).

The Trojans play this afternoon against TriValley at 4:30 p.m.
