Charleston’s Nolan O’Neal took two seconds off his personal-best in the 100 breast to take second in the Tiger Invitational on Saturday. O’Neal clocked in at 1 minute, 6.91 seconds.

The Trojans finished fifth of seven teams in the meet with 256 points. Pontiac took first with 427 points, followed by O’Fallon (387), Bloomington Central Catholic (363) and Mahomet (343). Urbana trailed CHS with 231 points, followed by Danville (146).

Josh Hoh took third in two events – the 50 free in 23.15 seconds and 100 fly in 1:00.85. Hoh also teamed with O’Neal, Ethan Blatnick and Zach Stout to finish second in the 200 I.M. relay in 1:52.67.

Josiah Moser, meanwhile, took 10 seconds off his 500 free personal best, clocking in at 6:05.41 to finish fifth of seven swimmers. He also melted seven seconds off his best 100 fly time, finishing in 2:30.96.

Mason Peterson took seven seconds off his 100 back, finishing in 1:18.76. 

Charleston completes its regular season at an invitational next Saturday at Olympia High. The sectional meet is set for Feb. 22 at Champaign Centennial.
