Josh Hoh and Nolan O’Neal captured four events apiece Thursday night to lead Charleston past Urbana in a dual swim meet, 98-75.
Hoh won the 100 fly by 13 seconds in 1 minute, 4.94 seconds and then led a Trojans sweep in the 50 free by clocking in at 23.88 seconds. Teammates Zach Stout and Ethan Blatnick took second and third, respectively.
O’Neal, meanwhile, took first in the 200 I.M. in 2:31.01, beating teammate Aly Abou-Zaid by seven seconds, and then won the 100 breast by nearly five seconds in 1:09.52.
Hoh and O’Neal also teamed with Abou-Zaid and Stout to easily win both the 200 medley and 200 free relays. Their time of 1:45.70 in the free relay was only 3.2 seconds off the school record, which they set last month.
Aiden Peterson captured the 500 free by 19 seconds in 6:11.6 and Will Cope took the 200 free, just ahead of Peterson. Both swimmers teamed with Blatnick and Luca Carcasi to win the 400-free relay by more than 12 seconds.
