Carsyn Fearday scored a team-high 28 points on Wednesday night.

Carsyn Fearday scored 28 points and No. 7 Lake Land had to rally in the fourth quarter to defeat Lincoln Trail, 62-54, on Wednesday night in women’s junior college basketball.

The Lakers (19-2), which just climbed two spots in the national polls, trailed after the first quarter and were tied late in the third quarter. Lincoln Trail took a lead in the fourth quarter, but the Lakers rallied for the victory.

The Lakers made only 38.7 percent of field goals, struggling far more from 3-point range where they converted only 19 percent. Fearday made two of her six attempts from long-range and Abby Weiss made two of seven. But their teammates missed all eight 3-point attempts.

Weiss scored nine points on three-of-nine shooting while Shania Schoonover added eight.
