CamRon Thomas and Dalton Compton scored 18 points apiece to lead Mattoon to a second straight victory in the St. Anthony Thanksgiving Tournament.

The Green Wave defeated Breese Central, 77-55, on Wednesday evening to set the stage for a pivotal game against Teutopolis that is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. on Friday. 

Teutopolis, which beat Breese Central, 62-51, on Tuesday, is also undefeated through its opening two games. The winner will advance into Saturday’s championship game against either St. Anthony or Effingham, which both remain undefeated the other pool of teams.

Effingham beat Tolono Unity, 71-45, on Wednesday night, while St. Anthony crushed Highland, 68-25. The two teams face off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Meade Johnson, who scored 20 points during Tuesday’s 70-59 win over Robinson, added 13 for the Green Wave (2-0) and Sam Bradbury contributed eight.
