Blake Garrett scored two goals and assisted on two others as Charleston High rolled past Taylorville, 8-1, on Tuesday night.

Carter Gordon recorded three assists and scored once and William Carillo scored two other goals to bolster the Trojans’ strong offensive showing.

Eugene Ohba, Caleb Limes and Kevin Caltry each scored one goal while Marc Asejo and Kyle Ross had one assist apiece for CHS (5-4, 2-1 in Apollo Conference play).

Charleston allowed only one shot on goal.

“The kids took care of business,” said Charleston soccer coach Josh Garrett. “It was a good opportunity to get everyone a chance to play today, and the younger players really took advantage of that and played hard.”
