For the second straight night, Mattoon fought back from a double-digit fourth-quarter deficit.

But, this time, the Green Wave could only get as close as three points in a 45-39 loss to Taylorville.

Taerick Grace scored a team-high 13 points while Christian Larson scored 10 and Jaylan Middleton added nine.

Taylorville, at 6-5, remains 2.5 games behind second-place Charleston in the Apollo Conference while Mattoon drops to 4-6.
