Mallory Ramage scored eight points in overtime to lead No. 3 Mattoon to a 57-55 victory over No. 7 Paris in girls basketball Monday night.

Ramage made two baskets and converted four of five free-throw attempts to help the Class 3A Green Wave (25-2) beat another ranked opponent, per Max Preps. MHS is ranked No. 7 in the state poll while Paris is No. 5.

The Class 2A Tigers (23-4) had rallied in the final quarter to overcome a six-point deficit.

Ramage made seven baskets, and scored 14 of the team’s 16 points in a tight third quarter during which Mattoon padded its halftime lead by a point to 39-33 entering the fourth quarter.

Ramage also snagged seven rebounds. Chloe Pruitt added 13 points and five rebounds.
