Charleston could not halt Olney’s undefeated season Tuesday night.
The Tigers led for all but the opening minute for a 61-46 win Tuesday at Baker Gym.
After an opening game basket, Charleston would not hold the lead again through the rest of the game. The Olney offense showed better ball control through the first quarter and took advantage of some wild Charleston passes to score on Charleston’s turnovers.
In the second quarter, Charleston was able to intercept a few of Olney’s passes to slow down its offense and, subsequently, outscored the Tigers 12-11 to close within 30-24 by halftime.

Charleston struggled in the third quarter to connect with the basket, only scoring four points and giving Olney the momentum it needed to extend the lead.
After a sluggish third quarter, the Trojans down rallied to score 18 in the final quarter, which included an impressive dunk by senior Jaksen Braun and a 3-pointer by junior Josh Sipes in the final minute.

Junior Caleb Oakley led the Trojans with 14 points, followed by Braun with eight. Junior William Applegate and senior Jackson Burgess scored seven apiece.
