Jaksen Braun scored 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Charleston to a 62-51 victory over Lutheran North in the Effingham-Teutopolis Christmas Classic boys basketball tournament.

The Trojans, which lost their tourney opener to Newton Tuesday night, rallied from a 15-11 first-quarter deficit to outscore Lutheran North by an 18-5 margin the next quarter for a 29-20 halftime lead it never relinquished.

“We made shots,” CHS coach Cody Drone said. “We made a conservative effort on shot selection and getting great shots for us. We were also able to attack the paint and score inside something we weren’t able to do against Newton.”
