Charleston dropped two games on the first day of the Charleston Holiday Tournament.
Teutopolis defeated Charleston 57-11 in the first game and Tri-County defeated Charleston 58-24 afterward.
In the third game, Tri-County defeated Effingham 47-43.
The following standings in the tournament are as followed: Teutopolis (1-0), Tri-County (2-0), Effingham (0-1), and Charleston (0-2). Charleston will play its final game in the tournament against Effingham at 6 tonight. If Teutopolis defeats Effingham in the first game at 2 p.m., the Hearts would play Tri-County for the tournament championship at 4 p.m.
The All-Tournament Team will be announced after the conclusion of the final game.
With the loss, Charleston drops to 0-8 on the season.
