Angela Coe earned three firsts and one second and Charleston posted 17 personal bests to take second place in the University High Invitational in Champaign on Saturday.

Coe, a junior, sprinted for the 50-yard freestyle title in 23.66 seconds, took the 100 free in 51.95, and teamed with Katrina Hoferer, Ava Zheng and Molly Weber to win the 400 free in 2 minutes, .06 seconds.

Coe, Weber, Zheng and Mackenzie Erixon combined to clock 3:57.98 in the 400 free for second place.

Weber, Erixon, Jessica How and Delaney Goddard also placed second, in the 200 free in 1:58.1.

Zheng added a second in the breaststroke and fourth in the individual medley.

“This was probably our best all-around performance so far this year,” Charleston High coach Dwight Pentzien said. “We had a number of personal best times today and we did a much better job at finishing our races.  I saw a lot to be excited about as we start to look forward to our sectional meet in three weeks.”
