The Mattoon 11u baseball team defeated Schererville, 6-5, on Thursday night at Graham Field in Lawson Park during the Ohio Valley Regional Tournament.

Earlier, Janesville Wisconsin topped Mattoon, 8-1, to kick off the tournament.
