Lake Land scored 10 runs in the fifth inning and Jason Brulport hit two homers to lead the Lakers to a 15-13 baseball victory Tuesday and complete a sweep of John A Logan.
Keagan Brady ripped two homers and drove in four runs to lead Lake Land to a 16-15 victory in the opener. Brady went 3–for-4 and scored three runs.
The Lakers scored 10 runs across the final three innings, including three in the bottom of the seventh when a wild pitch brought home the winning run.
In the second game, the Lakers trailed 9-0 entering the fifth when Ryan Kiolbassa, Keegan Garis, Lukas Broske, Joseph Batusich, Brulport, and Nathan Gehrke all drove in runs. Brulport drilled a three-run shot that moved Lake Land to within 9-8.
The Lakers scored three more times in the bottom of the eighth on an error and a two-run homer by Brulport to make it 15-13.
