Charleston once again grabbed a big first-quarter lead.
And the Trojans again retained control the rest of the game to earn their second victory in a row to start the girls basketball season, defeating Mt Zion 55-33.
Shae Littleford and Alycia Triplett combined for 11 points in Charleston’s 16-7 first-quarter run.
After basically matching points with Mt. Zion in the second quarter, the Trojans shut down last season’s Apollo Conference runner-ups in the second half, allowing the Braves only 13 total points.
Littleford finished with 22 total points, Triplett had 13 and seven other Charleston players scored.
