Meade Johnson (above) fired a 1-under par 35 to lead Mattoon boys golf to two dual-match victories Tuesday afternoon.

Johnson carded three birdies and bogeys on the final two holes, on Nos. 8 and 9, across the front nine at Mattoon Country Club.

Colton Romine shot 39, followed by teammates Blaine Powers (40) and Stewart Druin (41) for the Green Wave’s 155 stroke total, 10 better than Lawrenceville and 55 ahead of Casey.

Mattoon is now 8-1 in nine-hole matches. The Green Wave have already captured titles in three 18-hole invitationals and took second in another.
