Charleston Middle’s Hadley Webb cruised to a victory in a tri-meet held on EIU’s Panther Trail early Saturday morning, winning the two-mile race in 12 minutes, 35 seconds – 53 seconds ahead of runner-up Jessica Larson of Effingham.

Effingham beat CMS, 25-30, for the team victory.

Charleston Middle’s Blake Homann took second in the boys race, finishing 16 seconds behind Effingham’s Roscoe Davis in 12:55. Four CMS runners finished in a pack, but it was not enough to beat Effingham, which tallied 21 points after taking 1-3-4-6-7.
