Mason Wright scored 17 points and Jaylen Middleton snagged eight rebounds to lead Mattoon to a victory over Dixon, 58-46, in a consolation game for the Christmas Classic boys basketball tournament Saturday morning.
The Green Wave finished 15th among the 16 teams in the tournament.
Trailing 32-31, Mattoon outscored Dixon 12-2 in the third quarter to take a nine-point lead it extended in the final quarter.
Sam Bradbury scored 10 points and had seven rebounds for the Green Wave.
