Lincoln jumped out to a 31-7 lead through the first quarter and Mattoon could never catch up in an Apollo conference loss Tuesday night, 70-52.
The Green Wave are now 0-2 in the conference.
The Railers led 54-18 at halftime.
Mattoon outscored Lincoln 21-7 in the final quarter behind guard Meade Johnson’s six points and a balanced attack in which six players scored.
Johnson scored all 13 of his team-high points in the second half. Mason Wright scored nine points on three 3-pointers and Sam Bradbury also added nine.
Mattoon next travels to play Mt. Zion on Friday.
