Lake Land’s Carol Souza, a freshman outside hitter from Sao Paulo, Brazil, was named to the Region 24 All-Region Volleyball Team, barely missing out on earning the region’s Most Valuable Player award.
Sophomore Ashlyn MacDonald, a sophomore right-side hitter from Mattoon, was also named to the first team, while sophomore libero Ashlyn Clem was a second-team selection.
Souza received the second most points in the polling of region coaches with 59, two points behind Kim Hall of John A. Logan College.
