Mattoon swept all three Apollo Conference doubles titles Friday at EIU’s tennis complex.

The singles competition is taking place today at both EIU and CHS courts. Most finals should start around 3 p.m.

Mattoon’s Tess Huene and Emily Stortzum teamed to win the No. 1 doubles title, 6-3, 6-2. The duo defeated Charleston’s Rachel Thomas and Abigail Geisler, 6-3, 6-0, in the semifinals.

MHS’s Caroline Davis and Hallie Niemerg easily beat Effingham’s Lydia Kull and Riley Seachrist for the No. 2 title, 6-0, 6-1.

And the Green Wave’s Kambelle Ashmore and Destanee Garza outlasted Effingham’s Gracie Kroenlein and Aila Woomer for the No.3 championship, 7-5, 4-6, 7-5.
